Nothing to See Here
I have a lot to discuss here, but I'm a little too impatient to produce anything worthwhile. Instead, you get a list of crap.
I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but maybe two weeks ago, I rolled a 279 in Wii Sports bowling. Yes, I am officially a hustler. If it hadn't been for one lousy spare, I'd be hanging out in the platinum room of the Perfect Game club. I should note that when I rolled it, it was like midnight on a Tuesday and I'd had a drink or two. I really, really wanted to call everyone in my cell phone and shout the news, but I worried they'd put 1 and 2 together and accuse me of making it all up. I certainly can't make up an after-the-fact report on my website, though, so consider the score official. Has anyone actually beaten this?
I'm liking the Shins new release. The best song on there is Australia, I believe. I am a little concerned with the number of bands making use of over-jangly guitars, though. Did somebody brainwash all of the indie rock guitarists into sounding just like Johnny Marr? That's maybe the lamest mass brainwash I've ever heard.
I encourage everyone to watch the Knights of Prosperity on Wednesdays on ABC. It's a pretty amusing show, and I have a bit of a Donal Logue fetish, who might be the Irish Carlos Jacott. That may be the strangest compliment I've ever paid someone, but it's almost certainly a good thing.
